The reissues by Titan Books of Philip José Farmer's Wold Newton novels started with the publication of The Peerless Peer. It was published in June 2011 in the Sherlock Holmes series, see the book page.

This novel will be published in April in Germany also, with the title Sherlock Holmes und die Legende von Greystoke. The cover has been revealed by the publisher, Atlantis Verlag.


It will be published as a trade paperback (for 10,00 euro), in hardcover (for 13,00 euro), and also as an eBook.

The last two covers of the Titan Books reissues of Farmer's work are revealed. The cover of Tales of the Wold Newton Universe, a brand new anthology with stories by Farmer (and other writers?), to be published in October 2013.


And the cover of Venus on the Half-Shell, originally written by Farmer under the pseudonym Kilgore Trout, which novel will appear in December 2013.

I have been away for some weeks (hospital), reason why there were no updates for a while. Now I'm recovering somewhat, so back to some news.

Titan Books published last January the first Opar/Khokarsa novel, Hadon of Ancient Opar (1974). I read it again last year with the publication of the omnibus Gods of Opar: Tales of Lost Khokarsa, and was pretty surprised how much I enjoyed reading it after so many years. It is still a very good novel in its genre.


The book has a new introduction by Christopher Paul Carey, explaining how this prehistorical novel can be part of the Wold Newton Universe. Carey also wrote the afterword.

I think the cover illustration a bit lame – it is a novel full of deadly action and this illustration doesn't really match the contents – but otherwise Titan Books published a very beautiful trade paperback. I sure hope that the other two parts of the Opar/Khokarsa cycle will be published by Titan Books also.
